Post-Surgical Recovery is the time immediately after undergoing any kind of surgery. Your body has been through a lot and it is working hard to repair itself.

What Kind Of Symptoms May I Feel?

Pain in and around the area where the surgery occurred

Difficulty breathing

Constipation or difficulty urinating

Fatigue

Headaches

Limited mobility

(lf you are experiencing any of the above symptoms we recommend you contact your physician)

How Can Inspirit Help Me?

Inspirit Therapy Associates can play an extremely important role in the surgical recovery process. Our trained physical and occupational therapists can provide you with direction, education, exercises and therapy needed for a quicker recovery.

Most patients begin physical therapy before leaving the hospital. The therapist's role is to teach the patient appropriate exercises that can be done safely at home to speed the recovery process and designed to help regain flexibility and strength after surgery. Continued visits and manual therapy may also be needed.

Therapy should be continued after a patients hospital stay to continue to regain and build movement and strength. At Inspirit Therapy Associates we evaluate every patient individually design a program to fit their personal needs.
