Most patients begin physical therapy before leaving the hospital. The therapist's role is to teach the patient appropriate exercises that can be done safely at home to speed the recovery process and designed to help regain flexibility and strength after surgery. Continued visits and manual therapy may also be needed.
Therapy should be continued after a patients hospital stay to continue to regain and build movement and strength. At Inspirit Therapy Associates we evaluate every patient individually design a program to fit their personal needs.
